Park Vanoise
This is the first and most famous national park in France. It was founded in 1963 to preserve the population of ibex, which are under threat of extinction. Vanoise National Park is bordered by the Italian National Park Gran Paradiso, which was set up a little earlier for the same purpose.
Vanoise National Park is located in the south of the Mont Blanc and extends along the mountain chain of the Alps in the Savoie region. This is a relatively small park. The park Vanoise has many wonderful places that are found at an altitude of 770-2796 meters, with stunning views of snow-capped peaks of the Alps and the delightful green valleys ! Also in the park Vanoise you can see bats and insectivores such as white shrew. The magnificence of the avian world includes 125 species, among them - the black grouse, hazel grouse, black woodpecker, green woodpecker, crossbill, nutcracker, white teeth thrush. In the alpine zone live rock thrushes, finches snow. Also the park is home for birds such as the golden eagle, black woodpecker, sparrow, nutcracker, colorful and variegated flycatchers. Among amphibians i The park is also home to such animals as Triton, natterjack, grass frog. Trehe are some species of reptiles . You can see lizard, various types of snakes, such as the serpent of Aesculapius and Viper. Vanoise is home to hundreds of species of insects.
